Whittier

A second home for a family from Southern California, the homeowners wanted a completely different look for their new build condo in downtown Boulder.  Neutrals, greens, natural colors and a calm, sophisticated feeling.  A layout for entertaining, cozy bedrooms for cold, Colorado nights and a comfortable living room for watching football.  As the view outside the windows is all trees and leaves, the homeowners wanted to bring those colors inside, creating a grown-up, urban treehouse.  With these thoughts in mind, Design Studio used shades of forest, olive and leaf green to accent the neutrals.  Both bathrooms were wallpapered in patterns that continued to bring the leaves inside — the master bath in a fresh green and white vine print from Schumacher and a colorful and joyous leaf print from Osbourne & Little.

The overall effect is comfortable and elegant with a sense of fun.
