Our clients began with a new-build condo in North Boulder overlooking the foothills. They are art collectors who wanted an elegant, sophisticated space that would allow the art to stand out. The home needed to be ready to entertain guests and provide a workspace for each member of the couple. Further, the homeowners wanted window treatments that allowed for privacy and sun protection but did not interfere with the glorious view. They wanted to start fresh with all new furniture, lighting, and décor to complement and display their art collection with colors that would not compete with the paintings and shapes that would feel appropriate with the sculpture.

When Form Meets Function

The kitchen came with white sliding pantry doors, our team designed a built-in pantry with pull-out drawers for everything from spices to large pots, all in a finish that matched the kitchen cabinets perfectly.

This finish was so perfect that our team created a built-in dry bar in the living room next to the fireplace and a workspace with bookshelves in the entryway. Using the same cabinet finish gave a coordinated feel to the main living space. Both areas utilized quartz counters.

A Room for Entertaining

The dining table features six custom upholstered chairs with arms that can be drawn into the living room if extra seating is needed. Art lights were installed throughout the space and complimented the featured lighting fixtures over the kitchen island and dining table. The kitchen and dining fixtures both came from Hubbardton Forge, echoing the hand-made feel of the artwork in the home.

Sleep in Style

In the master bedroom, a custom-upholstered bed frame and harmonizing custom bedding completed the look and continued the understated color palette. A dark wood media cabinet with a brass metal lighting detail added richness and a custom grey leather armchair offers a cozy reading corner. Custom plantation shutters were installed in all the rooms, producing privacy, but keeping that sensational view in sight.
