Design Studio In Niwot
Niwot, which means Left Hand, was named after an Arapaho Indian chief whose people hunted and fished along the Front Range when the first gold miners arrived in 1858. This richly historic town is also the antique capital of Colorado. People who live there have sought out its small town charm and convenient proximity to Boulder and Longmont. Homebuyers will find both winsome older cottages and expansive contemporary homes. But whether your home is new or old, you will need help with renovations, window treatments and furniture. Design Studio is a short trip from downtown Niwot and we have the products and services that every homeowner needs.

Functionality and Beauty, Hand-in-Hand
For an expansive, new construction home, the homeowner reached out to Design Studio for window treatments for every room. Both motorized shades and draperies were selected. Shades were installed to control the crazy Colorado sunshine and the draperies to provide privacy in a new construction neighborhood. Animated conversations followed between our design team and the homeowner about how she wanted to live in her home. She expressed how she could use the furniture that she already owned and what she could add to make her home feel elegant, pulled together and ready for entertaining. A fun and playful collaboration led to sophisticated choices of wallpaper and artwork. The result is a bold palette of black, cream and emerald green that feels both serene and glamorous.

A Wallpaper For Every Mood
New construction homes offer so many joys – fresh, modern, convenient – but can feel a little impersonal at the beginning. Our Niwot homeowner wanted to have fun when she put her own stamp on her new space. Our team suggested wallpaper which has made a comeback. In keeping with her desire for a touch of fun and glamour, Design Studio offered animals prints and a metallic cork paper for the dining area that is a perfect companion for candlelight. The homeowner could not choose between two animal prints for the master bath suite – so she used both – one in the main room and one in the water closet for a daring, visual surprise!
